I just replaced a corroded PSE module on my 1999 SLK230 Kompressor, I amamechanic myself for Caterpillar. I figured out the PSE was bad after consulting a few car techs and reading some post on here. We'll after intalling the new PSE and hooking up the battery cables, the alarm siren starts sounding and wont stop, the headlights are not blinking, and the door locks unlock and lock, and trunk unlocks and locks, and the vehicle even starts and drives,but the alarm siren wont shut off?The master keybuttons(lock & unlock)work, but whenIpush the red button to shut the alarm off it doesnt shutoff. Anyhelp would be appreciated!

 

sounds like a bad alarm siren horn to me. I've seen this on other models with the same condition.
