Brakes and Rain
I have a 2004 SLK230 which I acquired in November of 2007.
Two things...
1. I left the top down the Wednesday night (while I was at a meeting) and it rained. Fortunately, I had a couple of towels in the trunk and was able to mop up the water. However, when I came out yesterday morning, I had MAJOR condensation on the interior of all the windows. I wiped them down and drove to work. I park in a garage at the office, so I lowered the top and left it open all day to air out. This morning when I came out, MUCH less condensation on the windows, but the rear window was still pretty bad. I've repeated the top down in the parking garage today in hopes it will air out some more. I'm also getting some moistness on the seats. I sat on a towel this morning during my commute and it was damp when I got to work (25 minute drive).
Anyone else done this? I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this happen. Any suggestions on getting the car dry again? I know it will take time, but I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to speed it up.
2. My car has just under 28,000 miles on it and I've had to have the brakes and rotors replaced already. Is this normal? My previous experience has been 2-3 sets of brake pads before the rotors need done. This is my first MB though.

Put the Aircon on Recirc and use the car like that. temp can be at what ever level you like since the air is first cooled (to remove the moisture) and then heated to your preference. Important to have Recirc ON otherwise you will be trying to dry the universe.
It should take the moisture out of the car more quickly than nature..

always keep your left foot on the floor and shift to lower gears to help break
when going down hills. rotors don't usuallyHAVE tobe replace the first time around unless you go down to metal on metal or they are warped. However a dealer will normally do a complete brake job. Did you try towel drying the carpet under and behind the seats?
