Default 380SL sitting 10 years

Hi. New member here. I'm starting a project of getting my wife's car restored to working order. I know it's going to take a lot of work. I'm starting with all the fluids. Planning on taking the fuel tank completely out and making sure it is in good working order and no rust or sediment.

I'm also going to do all the other fluids.

When it went into storage 10 years ago it would start but it would not run. Is there anything simple that could cause this problem? Someone mentioned a fuel pump solenoid and said the car started with one fuel line and then switched over to another fuel line to run. They said sounded like this was the problem and it was not switching over. They said it was located behind the glove box.

Does this sound right? I cannot find any mention of anything like that. I see there is fuel pump relay behind the glove box but I don't know what its function is. Could the relay be the problem? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.

after the clean up, I would do the basics first. vacuum hoses, wiring, plugs, distributor cap, rotor. at least check
