Default Oil leaks - Need to replace valve cover gasket

My 1995 C280 is leaking oil like crazy. The shop told me $2000 to fix it! No way. I bought the car for $4000 so I'm going to do it myself. I've done valve covers for my previous 4-cyl VW but nothing for a V6. Has anyone done this before? Any pointers you can provide to look out for? I ordered the service manual for the car so that should be helpful but as you know, little thing always bite you here and there. Thanks

W202 with the M112 v6...

shouldnt be terribly difficult to accomplish, just make sure you know where all the electrical connectors go when youre done.

Don"t waste money on new gaskets, I had mine done under warranty and they used the black rubber gasket maker sealant, I called mercedes in regards to this and they said it was recommended due to the fact that when applyed correctly the gasket maker conforms to the shape of the valve cover making a better seal.....
