LOST IDLE RPM WHEN SHIFT FROM PARK TO DRIVE
Please My 190 E 2.6, lost 400 rpm when we shift from park to drive.
ALL the air conection were fixed, the sparks plug and cables are new, it is OK at 900 RPM at idle and stay firm when the AC is ON, only change down when shift to DRIVE.
The Transmition VACCUM has to be related with this porblem?
Thanks

I had a similar problem, only my car stalled when I put it into drive.
After searching, I found that I had a mouse living in my engine, and he had chewed through some hoses. Probably not the same thing that happened to you, but my solution was in a small vacuum tube going into the engine right near the air filter.
I don't know too much about Mercedes - just bought my first one a few months ago, and it took me a few days to diagnose a mouse in the engine. But you may want to take a look at all connections, especially the rubber elbows, to see if you can't find an easy solution.
I suggest putting a post up to see if someone has a vacuum diagram for your model, and then just trace the lines to see if you can find a problem.

Thanks Mr. KHINESS 819, I am sure that all rubber air leak were corrected. Any body think that it is a vaccum problem?
Please, in the page 14.11 -050/2 in the CD manual for 126 Model 300 ES 1988 you can see in the Picture "FUNCTION DIAGRAM MECANICALLY / ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED FUEL INJECTION" you can see the PART S 29/2 called: "THROTLE VALVE SWITCH, FULL ICAD/IDLE DETECTION".
I can“t attached this picture. It could be interesting for the discution. I would appreciate if some body can it.
Please explain me what is the function of this switch. Don“t think any body that the Throtle Valve can be stucked o blocked?
If the Throttle valve don“t close 100 percent, can it disturb the idle?
How to calibrate the THROTTLE VALVE?
This switch S 29/2 can be damaged? How to test?
This switch S29/2 can be buyed alone, whitout the THROTTLE VALVE?
tHANKS.

SIRS FORUM PEOPLE, PLEASE.
The THROTTLE VALVE was cleaned. It is not stucked. But I don“t know the condition of its SWITCH. The part number of this switch is: 006-548-18-24.
Please How to test this switch? It is like a sensor or transductor from an mechanical signal to an electrical signal. One end is the mechanical conection to the flapper valve axle or to THROTLLE VALVE. The another end are three male electrical points of the plug conection X 56. As you can see in the page 14. 11. 050/2.
The THROTLLE VALVE number part is: 001 140 60 53. But both parts look like separated or independent.
What are the symtoms of this switch fails?
Please anyone can attach the picture on the page 14. 11. 050/2 to this Forum.?
Thanks.

OK. I m talking alone.
The Throttle valve and AIR MESSUREMENT SYSTEM were cleaned and the SWITH was tested reading the voltage between its two terminals. We saw that the voltage change when feed more gas or increase the RPM. We suppose that switch is working.
We graduated the POTENCIOMETER to 850 Millivots and the reading between points 1 and 3 on the socket test was graduated close to 50% at 2000 RPM. The RPM was ajusted a little bit to 900 RPM at idle by the RODS.
Now We shift from PARK to DRIVE and it change to 750 RPM.
However It downs sometimes to 500 RPM. Also we feel the car a little slow.
We will try to search in some air leaks and vacuums valve.
Please give me HINT.
Thanks.

PLEASE, TO ALL FORUM HELP HELP HELP.
THANK Mr. KINES 819: "I suggest putting a post up to see if someone has a vacuum diagram for your model, and then just trace the lines to see if you can find a problem."
SHE doesn“t stay firm at 750 RPM. SHE falls at 500, RPM when shift from Park to DRIVE. even though doesn“t stall. But 500 RPM is too low for A/C in traffic.
We adjusted again but SHE falls when is at 80 Centigrades.
After have be done all this previous work, SHE is no right.
Mr. KINES 819 suggested a VACUUM DIAGRAM for 190E 1989, in order to looking for some little hose leaking.
Please in you have another point of view let me knows.
Also the Vaccum Diagram.
Thanks .
