'98 C280 - Engine vibration when stopped in Drive, vibration stops if shift to Neutral or Park.

'98 C280 - Engine vibration when stopped in Drive, vibration stops if shift to Neutral or Park. Does the Motor Mount Rubber Bushings need to be replaced? Has anyone experienced this issue? Thanks

from your description, i would say it is the motor mounts. be sure to due a trans mount at the same time.

Mercedes shop just replaced the motor mounts and tranny mount on my C230K. Made a HELL of a difference!
NO more vibration and car is even smoother out on the road. I didn't know what it was, and they did it under my
extended warranty. HUGE difference. Hope this helps.
