I'm having trouble removing the plug leads from the spark plugs in a 190E (W201) with a 2 litre engine (M102).

They are INCREDIBLY tight (I mean TIGHT) and I don't want to destroy them yanking at them with a pair of pliers. Can someone help me with this and what the plug gap should be?

Not sure about the gap but there is a special tool to remove the spark plug leads. However i dont have one and just pulled real hard by hand and they came off.
