Good day folks,

Decided to take the plunge and buy me first ever benz. I grew up in the era when benzes had the 4 speed on the column shifters, great cars and fun to drive. Just bought a 94 E 420 with 180,000 miles on the clock and am wondering are there any mysteries about the car I should know about. I do know the wiring harness had issues with the insulation, according to the previous owner this issue was resolved. Up to now that is all I know about the car. By the looks and sound of it, was very well taken care of and by all appearences looks brand new. I am looking forward to lots of good times with the car and an exciting experience on this forum.

I live in Atlanta, Georgia and also ride motorcycles. You have a very nice site here and am eager to learn as much as I can about these wonderful machines I have heard so much good about as a lad in Pennsylvania, thanks.

How do you do? and welcome.

I live just north of Atlanta myself, and love talking about MB cars and cars in general. This is a great site; there are specialists in every area in this club. It sounds like you bought a good MB, I have an old 1990 that I suppose will out-live me.

Hello and thanks, I live in Forsyth county so you are probably not very far from me. I have owned numerous automobiles and this one is very unique. I was told by so many to stay away from it but it seems to me the previous owner took very good care of it and was able to resolve the issues that seem to be prevalent with the E series. Now I have seen a number of issues posted about the E 320 of the ninties vintage but little to none on the E 420 so here we go for a ride to see and enjoy.

I live just north of Roswell, just north of the three silos in crabapple.

You know people get so bent out of shape about little things like hoses and sensors; I just replace them and get it overwith. As long as the car doesnt have any real issues like internal engine and transmission damage, its not a major problem. And the cars usually give you months and miles of warnings.
