Before 2 years i bought a 1976 W123 with 200 diesel engine (i believe that this was not for sale in USA) and start with restoration. I'm not yet finish, but soon will be.

original gazoline engine and changed for a Diesel.

delivered new in Switzerland on March1976. I sold it on March 1989 with 224'500 Km to a Croatian or Serbian guy who was living in Vouvry, VS🇨🇭
But maybe the car has been re-exported afterward in Arabic or African countries? No idea.
This 1976 280 from the very first serie had only one driver-side mirror and was white with inside blue tissue fabric with only 2 options which were automatic gearbox and green tainted windows with a sun green stripe in front windshield.
It's frame number has only 4 digit and start with #3...
