98 E320 4-Matic PSE Pump
Hi All,
The car listed above has been to the dealer on 3 occations to replace the PSE pump due to water damage. The last time, they also replaced the sunroof track because that's where the water was coming in.
The first symptom of PSE pump failure is begining to show up again. The passenger side mirror starts to act up when car is in reverse, sunroof doesn't funtion properly and doors don't automatically lock when in drive. The final straw always tends to be the windows rolling down by themselves during the night, the trunk opening while driving or a complete shut down of all electronics while driving.
However, I feel that this is my fault this time. I left the sun roof openprior to rain.
I trying to locate a reputable place to purchase a PSE pump and I'm looking for some insite on how to install a new pump. Is there anything that I can do to make this pump impervious to water damage? Can I shrink wrap a new install?
Thanks in advance for all advice.
John L.
