I just took my '99 CLK430 to the dealer for diagnostic. The problem was, after shipping the cap from California to Connecticut (from mild weather to freezing weather) a set of problems arrived with the car. During transit, the truck driver reported that the trunk lid kept popping open. When it got here, the trunk release didn't work at all. Also, the headrest down switch, the headlight washer switch, the central locks all didn't work, straight off the truck. </P>


The dealer told me that my PSE Pump was defective. What is that? Could shipping cause it to break? It's located in the trunk. Is it an easy thing to replace. I can get parts at dealer cost, but in CA, not CT, so I'd have to have them shipped to me and I might be able to install myself. Is it difficult? I've done most jobs on most conventional cars, but I've never tried on the CLK. </P>


I also need to replace the nozzles on the headlight washerSome advice, anyone?<IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0"></P>
