Slk 230 30,000 miles pads lights on, brake, abs/bas, brakes lights on the top don't work. I got OBD codes 500 and 1747. So far replace pad sensors the pads are new rotors heavy burrs around the edge. Clean the transmition module on the passenger side that was wet with oil and replace the ABS control modulator. Batery is ok, charging around 14 volts. Disconnect the battery for a whole day. NO RESULTS.

I had the same problem following an episode where I had to slam the brakes to avoid a collision. Thereafter the BAS/ASR light came on and would not turn off. The brake switch located underneath the panel (brake pedal) and hard to get to can be forced down to a point that it will get locked in a downward closed position. You have to remove it to disengage the white pin that is locked in the closed position or you may have to replace it like I did because it broke. Hope this helps.
