Default Help! No brake lights, new stop switch, BAS, ABS malfunction

I replaced the brake stop switch according to 1sloturtle's directions and it still does all of the malfunctions. I am going to leave the battery disconnected overnight to see if that works.

I am an electronics technician by trade. What makes sense to me (with no schematics or wiring diagrams to work from), is when I shorted the brake light voltage, it damaged whatever module provides the voltage to the brake lights. It obviously has inputs from the anti lock braking circuitry since it is supposed to supress the brake lights in an anti lock for stability condition.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this vehicle, or a similar model in 98? Or perhaps can tell me where the exact location of the module I have heard referenced as the Lamp Control Module?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

joe

I was not aware of any fuses other than under the rear seat, and under the hood. I will check in the morning. Thanks for the suggestion!

could be a fault with a few other things too. could be a steering angle sensor, or a yaw rate or latteral acceleration sensor too. could be a wheel speed sensor. or even a trans mission issue with the shifter assembly.

Are there any tests that can be performed to narrow it down at home?

Do any of them seem more likely with the way the fault was introduced into the system?
