Hey i have a 99 slk and recently had my driver side under the small window and had it painted since then the driver door window makes a whistle sound and i discovered that the plug under the door is missing ..anyone have any ideas how to adjust the window..

 

There is a screw under that plug used to adjust the window. It adjusts the fit closer or further out from the body.

Can you adjust it without removing the interior door trim?

 

I found out after paying 70 bucks at mb that there's a plug under the door that has a bolt that can move it in and out...if this does not help you have to change the rubber seals very expensive theres 4 one is 40 bucks the next is 50 thers one for a 100 then th most important one is 400 bucks plus 2 hrs labour at mb...this is for oneside only.
