at 156k on my 300sl 24 I thought my steering box was getting a little wore out. slight play in my steering. as it turned out my ball joints were getting squeaky so I replaced both control arms which took me three days to do. wow, what a difference, the old girl handles like new now. wasn't the steering box after all. you'll have to have it aligned when finished
