With a little over 72,000 miles I started experiencing starting problems. Car starts cold, runs well and then won't restart until engine cools down again. Everything lights up but there's a whirring sound and car won't turn over. I've been stuck at gas stations waiting for up to 30 minutes to be able to start. Mechanic replaced starter battery, FOB battery replaced and problem persists. I can only drive car to one destination if I know I'm going to be there for enough "engine cool down" time to be able to restart. MBZ certified mechanic is clueless as to what, and how to fix this, Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what's the fix? I'm losing faith in the SL class....my dream car since I was 16 years old.
