Default Turning Problems

I had an audio system installed the other day in my 02'S430and since then my car hasnt been turning the same. When turning my steering wheel(Driving and parked) I hear/feel a quiet pop sound especially when turning left. Its like my steering wheel turns in sections(When turning it stops then keeps going but it pops at least 2x before its turned all the way to either side). Could my problem be wiring problems w/my systems wires interferring w/steering wheels wires? Could it be power problems w/my battery not being able to handle all of the wattage of my system(Lights dim when heavy bass hits)? Please help me w/this problem if possible. Thanks in advance.

maybe there are wires under the dashboard rubbing the steering shaft as you turn the wheel

If your lights dim when the bass hits it's a very good sign your system is drawing too much power, a little more than what the alternator can handle. When the bass hits, it requires more current, like a punch of power.

Sometimes a power capacitor can help that problem, by supplying the extra energy needed when the bass hits.
