You will know if you have wiring to each injector. Mechanical will only have a supply tube from the fuel distributer. Looks like a spider. Mechanical injectors work off of pressure. Sometimes if they are weak or stuck it will cause fuel to leak into the cylinder. One way to check is pull the sparkplugs and see if they are wet. You can pull the injector and see if it's stuck but be carefull.
First check if you have mechanical injectors. If so I can walk you through troubleshooting.

Electronic, yes? Spark plugs were shot when I got it so I didn't pay attention to them

I'm not an expert on electronic fuel injection. You can still check them like the mechanical ones. A little time consuming. Normally you can pull one at a time and place a jar to catch the fuel when someone turns on the key. Again be careful when doing this. Sparkplugs or wires could be bad or power distribution. Worse could be the computer for the distribution. I would check first for wet plugs. That's telling you have no spark. Work backwards from that point. Plugs then wires then distributer and so. Cheap first.

I'm guessing it's not a spark problem. She runs smooth and will easily do 100 on the highway.

And still getting gas in oil? Cold start injector? Mass air meter sending wrong information to brain box? That's a tough one!

Exactly why I'm stumped. It has to be happening when the car sits since it is firing on all cylinders. Something like this?

Not sure what parts I need for a leaky injector.
