I need to replace my sunroof motor since it is bad...i already bought the new one...yet im having trouble removing the chain cable from it....is there some sort of certain way to do it.....maybe from where the sunroof is....instead of in the trunk.......thanks for any help..my car is a 1994 E320 sedan

remove the liner first to disconnect the other end of the cable. open the roof 2/3 and pull away on the front area to unclip it.

proceed to remove the ceiling if you want the whole cable out.
