Spark plug Boot tool
I have been trying to remove the spark plug boots on my wife's '98 e320 for some time. I just did a search on this forum and found that there is a tool to pull the boot.
Can someone give me a link to it?
Also I have yet to get a service manual for this car. Are there any reasonable options for a manual which is actually useful?
Thanks,
Phil

I bought the spark plug boot tool online... wish that I would not have. There is absolutely no room whatsoever to use it! I carefully and properly removed the boots after about 3 hours under the hood. I removed the air box, coil packs etc... I received a few nice cuts, bruises and my neighbors probably thought that I was possessed.
It takes time, patience and strong fingertips... don't pull on the wires or you will break the carbon link inside the wires... put your fingers around the boots where the useless tool is supposed to work... It is painful but can be done.
That being said, I'm a really big guy with great arm strength so I don't know how others have fared under similar circumstances.
Best of luck.
