Just bought a 95 E300 diesel automatic. at 80 mph on level highway surface, the tach reads 3,500 rpm in drive. This seams a little high to me. I went as fast as 95 which was about 4,200 rpm still with no gear shift. Is this right for this car or do I need to have it looked at.
