2006 e350 4 matic 68k mi, high shift points and..
Three problems... Anyone have these issues? I expect to get 200k mi out of this car before I need to replace the engine and tranny. Obviously, I expect too much.
1. I have the transmission in D mode, not S mode. I know the difference. I am seeing the shift points from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th increasing by 500 rpm over their existing shift points when I first got the car. Does anyone know if there have been problems with the transmission?
2. Motor oil leaking off the head gaskets onto the manifold. This is something I would expect from say a chevy impala, but not a mercedes. Have people seen this issue where the valve cover gaskets leak? So 1978..
3. Intermittent check engine light, while the drama of high shift points and motor oil dripping onto the manifold, the check engine light is on and off..

adaptive transmissions for the 210 (as well as others) are resettable in the field. you should try to see if same procedure works for your model. use keywords "reset transmission" over on MBWorld and/or Benzworld's
