Hi i found a pretty good deal on a very well maintained 98 E320, im new to the forums and had a couple of questions, i am going tomorrow morning to look at it and if all is well buy it.

It has 160k miles and i know that is high but it is a properly taken care of 1 owner car in amazing condition in and out.

i was just wondering if this year model specifically has any problems i should look for, and how well this car would do with 160k miles if it has been properly maintained.

My father is a mechanic and has been for 25+years so basic maintenance will be done through him and he will also look at the car inside and out for the basic stuff.

any extra information and opinions are welcomed of course, hopefully i can join your forums soon

I wouldn't be afraid of a well maintained high mileage e320.
The obvious, check compression, is it even across the board?
Suspension components
How does the transmission shift
Any engine noise that doesn't sound right? (excess valve or piston noise)
How noisy is the differential?
Does the vehicle come with service records?
