Default Moving from BMW to MB

Thanks in advance for your replies. I am considering moving out of my 1998 BMW e38 (740iL) and into a 2005 e320 that is posted for sale locally here in Houston.Ibought a 2006 ML for my wife and itis somuch better than the previous model, I am now looking at the e320 for me.

A question I have for you is this...what that heck are thosebuttons near the stick? One is an arrowundera car pointing up and the other looks like a shock absorber that has circulating arrows around it?

Thanks!

Jim

Lucky you, this car has the airmatic system, you can increase or decrease the height of the car. Although the "high" position will be off if you reach 60 mph or so.The "shock absorber" button is for three diferent suspension settings: confort, "middle" and sporty. You can really notice the diference between the 3. Good luck, 2005 is more reliable than previous W211s.

I recently made the move from BMW to Mercedes (although mine was a 328xi). BE Prepared for two completly different rides. The BMW (even the 3) is a faster tighter ride. You feel 100% totally confident and in control with that car! The e320 is more of a cruiser..Still a fast car but not as zippy. The steering is also less interactiive. BMW is definetly all about the driving experience, Mercedes is about feeling like your driving your couch in extreme luxury. I recently took a job with a 48 mile a day commute so the e320 made more sense for me. I guess it just depends on your needs. Overall though the e320 isa better car, the bmw was just a better ride.
