moving from an audi tt to a merc
Hi Guys, first time here,
Currently have a one year old TT 3.2 with the DSG gearbox, but the seats are just killing my back.
So I've been looking around and was heading towards the SLK 55 amg. but made the mistake of taking my gf to the Merc showroom to have a look around. She spotted the SL350 that they had on show and I had to agree that it's a lovely car. The guy explained that the K in SLK comes from Kinder, i.e. the SL's smaller brother.
So now I'm buggered, have to spend 100k on a car, I don't even owe that much on my house anymore. But what can you do?
So anyway, Hi, i'm herbie. just looking for some info, opinions, justification to spend so much on a car...

Get a Boxer or Z4. I had a Z3 and the seats were great, and I have a very bad back, so bad I am official partial handicapped. The trouble was getting in and out. I also owned a Porsche and drive my cousins
Boxer now and then, very comfortable, again the in and ou thing for me. But you will save some big $$and still have a fast car. I lean toward the Z4 as the Boxer is almost a no DIY car, whereas the Z4, at least you can get to the engine.

Hello Herbie, first off, welcome to the forums. 2nd, did you take the SL350 out for a spin? How about the SLK? If so, which one were you most comfortable with? I had the SLK320 and totally loved the car. It was fast, sporty, fun, and luxurious. Not completely practical, but still a wonderful car.
