Default mercedes e320 sunroof stuck - tilted

Can anyone help? i have a 1997 E230. The sunroof is stuck in the open tilted position. It will not close electrically or by using an Allen key. Something is very jammed & it’s cold & wet. What is the procedure for manually closing the roof? Contact paulgs@bimproducts.net 07710137401

Default 97 roof tilt

Had a similar problem.

Mine was apparently stuck somewhere along the line.

I worked the switch and the motor by rocking the switch back and forth a few times finally it closeed properly and then I was able to electrically slide the window open (the other function).

I blew out a couple of pine needles with air from an air compressor nozzle)that had gotten into the mechanism. Been fine since!

Make certain that the fuse is still good.

Default 1995 E220 Sunroof Issue

Hi,

I am afraid I cannot help you as I also have sunroof issues!!! But thought this the best place to ask for help.
My sunroof will tilt correctly up & down but will not slide back. It tries to move but cannot (possibly motor). I have tried the fuse and its good.

Your Help Gratefully Received.

As I mentioned on a previous post. It may be a foreign object that is tripping a limit switch or jamming the mechanism. I blew out the assembly with air from a compressor and mine has operated fine ever since. If it tilts, the motor is probably just fine. The other things that it might be is a switch contact in the window mechanism actuator (rocker switch). Pop the switch out and open it up (gently) make sure the springs and ***** are not lost. (clean paper on a desk or bench). Clean the silver plating and reassemble. Polish the nubs as necessary.

Good luck!
