It should. What year? It worked on my 2002 E320.

HELLO OHLORD(is that a expression of sarcasm on MB garages???)
i have 20 years of experience of what i like to describe as "survival" mechanics - i don't claim any actual garage training but i am a physicist - so where the hell do you get this kind of information - not exactly either available to the public in the greatest sense of the word or of public level of knowledge - i think most people are not as aware as they need to be of oils never mind factory resets - thanks Andy

C280... blowing out the carbon... I like that excuse. I do it frequently. Don't get me wrong... I drive in a very calm and stately manner on a daily basis... but every now and then... when a good tune is playing and I am certain that I won't endanger anyone else... I let my E run... she love the interstate. ... blowing out the carbon... yeah... that's what I do... Ha! Long live the W210 chassis!

I also never knew about this untill I herd it on this site from OHLORD. He has always been right with everything he says and it does work. Where he got the info from? I do not know but he knows his cars. Thank you OHLORD for this information.

I thought everyone with throttle by wire cars knew this procedure.
The really obtuse reset is the drive cycle bypass so you can make your car ready for smog tests without a trip to the dealer.

Ohlord

It might be easier if you tell us what year this throttle by wire began, rather than answering individual inquiries.

I also ask, since my 96 E-320 is a dog until 40 mph and then all gets nicely radical. I love it in a passing scenario, or just plain laying it down on an open stretch of road.
Not like my muscle cars , or the sports cars i've owned, on the handling. Overall it has been a great car for general use, and does most things very well. Not gangly handling like the Lincoln Mk 7 I had.
Do hate the electrical bugs. That is this cars downfall as I see it, but I haven't owned it long (7 months).

Ohlord. Love the MG's as well.
I owned 2 MGA's
Sure miss the simplicity, and tuning the carbs by listening through a hose for the audible pitch change (yeah an archaic method).
