Default coolant change E320 2000

Am going to change my coolant and have not done it before. Need I only remove the lower hose and let it drain?

there's a drain plug on the radiator.

loosen it and keep the reservoir cap open.

Thanks for your reply . I am assuming that this will drain both block and radiator. Then I just replenish with MB coolant at 50/50 and no need to flush..?

it won't drain the block, but it doesn't really matter for you have to flush it once.

fill with pure water, run engine till 80 degrees, drain and refill with 30-50% coolant mix.

Default Dangerous?

Fellas, I am about to do the radiator drain myself. The question that I have concerns the fill with pure water... won't that boil when brought to 80 degrees Celcius? After it hits that temp and the car is turned off.... I should wait an hour or so to drain the water... right? After that I can fill with the MB coolant at a 50/50 distilled water mix ratio.

Does the pure water cycle really do a flush job? Would a store bought flush like Prestone's Super Flush be beneficial or harmful? Thanks in advance.
