Default '94 E320 Coupe Engine Coolant Change

Sleepwalker,
I know you will know the answer to this question.
I need to change the coolant in my series 124 engine (ser 104). Is it wise to remove the
bolt on the exhaust side of the engine block to ensure that all the old coolant is drained out
or will draining via the bottom hose be good enough ?
I intend to us a 50:50 mixture of M-B Coolant concentrate and de-ionized water to refill.
Looking forward to your comments.
