RE: Buying a (used) E350 - tips, advice, and maintenance costs
Wiring harness problems, head gasket leaks and the parts are all harder to get on the 94 95 96 97
if you find a low mile one that has had the upgraded head gasket and harness done that would be a nice find.
I'm up in Mill Creek so I will look around and If I see one in the markets I search or if you need a ppi on one you find Able to do.

Hola! my 1997 E320 with 170,000 - straight 6
I don't know about the rest of you, but I bought mine new, and we loved every mile. Over the term we changed oil every 3500 and never had a single problem with the engine. ZERO! In the last year have had a sensitive Check Engine light related to the computer getting a hit (not often) from the Torque Converter something (above the tranny, not below). Mercedes refused to change it not convinced the problem actually existed since no driving characteristics change.
I sold it yesterday for $6K - Anyone who spends more than $50k on a car WILL take care of that car unless they are an idiot. My car looked new except for some rock dings on chrome atop the radiator. The buyer got a steal and will easily enjoy another 100k miles at least.
Want to buy a used MB? Looking at the details should tell you most of what you need to know about how the car was cared for. Other than that, buy a year that you know for sure hasn't had major problems or repairs. We are buying a low mileage 2007 for $27K and are happy to buy it!
If you have to ask how much to maintain, please save yourself a lot of heartache and buy a Honda.
Good luck!

2006 or 2007?
Hello OhLord....I agree you sound very knowledgeable and would like to find out why it's not a good idea to buy a used 2006 E320/350?
Would you advise against it? Is the 2007 model better?
What are some of the gotyas in these models?
