Angry 99 E320 won't start

Started fine this a.m. No prior problems then ten minutes later won't even crank. I checked all the fuses & then replaced the battery with a brand new one. Still nothing when I turn the key. HELP!

try a differnt key if you have one 1st. also maybe the flywheel needs lubricated. the starter becomes dry on they flywheel and can cause this, but usually it will squeek for a second, but then will start. another thing to check is if youve got a bad pulley bearing and its not allowing the belt to spin freely. thus straining the engine and starter. are you sure your fully in Park? turn the key to position 2 and put it in gear and then back into Park and see if that helps.

Default Keys etc

I tried both keys. Put the key in position 2 & shifted in & out of gear & back to park. No good. I even tried it in neutral. There has been no squeeking or squealing or other pre problem signs. What else should I try?

try moving the gear stick back and forward few times fast!!!!! if its not a starter motor fault then maybe there is aprob in the inhibator switch on the gear selector
