95 E320 Won't start. Help please! *Update*
Hi everyone. I'm a Volvo driver but my dad's 1995 E320 sedan won't start. The battery's fine, it turns over just fine; it just won't start. I figured it was a bit lame to try and describe what's it's doing so I took a video of it. Thanks!

Hi,
Nice way of communicatingthe problem.
OK. So it cranks (battery OK), fires (spark of sorts) but will not run.
Could be contaminated fuel (water), fuel pump (low pressure), fuel filter (faulty pressurerelief valve),crank position sensor (doesn't know when to fire), damaged wiring etc etc etc.
Next steps.
Scan OBD On BoardDiagnostics to determine if any codes have been set.
Visual check engine wiring harness.
Check fuel rail pressure (schraeder valve on fuel rail. Fuel under pressure?
Next like suspect is CPS Crank position sensor.
Stuart.

Once it is going it should be OKJ to go to the dealer/garage.
When you check fuel rail pressure (TAKE CARE Wear eye protection and no naked flames etc)) collect any fuel that is ejected to ensure that no water "globules" are present.
However the engine could be in "Limp Home" mode (dependent upon which codes are stored) which will restrict speed to circa 30 with limited gear changes (on auto) etc.
If you exercise CARE whilst driving "Limp Home" should also enable you to "Limp to the nearest garage".

Well, my dad finally got his car started and described the most heinous noises to me. When he first started it it was running rough. He gave it a little gas and described the sound as "knocking; metal on metal". We're having it towed tomorrow, any thoughts on what be wrong now? Thanks for your help!
