Default CLK320 - windows won't return to closed position

I have recently recommissioned my 2000 CLK320 after 4 months of inactivity. Unfortunately the battery was dead so after crawling into the boot space to recharge the battery she started on the first turn of the fob - great engineering!

Other than a concern as to why the key would not work in the boot, I am now faced with the issue as to why the windows will not return to the fully closed position on exiting the vehicle.

I had no such issues in the 4 years of ownership prior to putting the car into store for a few months.

As the issue is affecting both the driver and passenger side, I wondered whether I need to reset anything after reconnecting the battery. Or are the window motors in need of replacement.

As I am new to this forum all help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob
