Boot (Trunk) won't open on CLK
Hi,
I have a 2000 230 CLK, the boot has stuck shut, when you press the keyfob or internal boot switch you hear the mechanism working but it does't trigger the lock.
I have tried all three keys in the lock but they all seem to only go halfway in?
Can anyone help please.

RE: Boot (Trunk) won't open on CLK
It happened to my CLK. Trunk key slot becomes filled with dirt when you only use the remote and not the key. My dealer used oil and gradually worked the key into the opening until it worked. This took 20-30 minutes. Dealer said to use my key once in a while to keep the slot workable. Winter salt kicked up by the rear tires is a big problem. This is a frequent dealer problem.
