Hey guys,
I wanted to buy a 2004 clk 350 and wanted to know the pros and cons about this car. I wanted to know the common problems and maitenance issues. I drive 100 miles a day 5 days a week and want to know if the car will hold up. Thank you.

 

I don't believe that there was a 2004 CLK 350. They came in for 2006. 04 and 05 W209s are CLK 320 models.

 

I would love to hear from owners because all that l have heard of the CLK is problems. I know two people that had theirs taken back under the lemon law and l love the car.

I believe that the '04 CLK was either a 320 or a 500 unless it was an AMG55, not available as a 350 then. As for the engine drivetrain the tiptronic 5 speed is a blast and both the 320 and 500 are very reliable. I just acquired an '04 CLK500 and it is really a blast since it is replacing a '95 SL500. The tranny fluid has to be on the mark on the newer cars and can only be checked by the dealer. So be it. ENJOY.
