We are looking to purchase a 1972 -1985 sl model, running or not in good body condition. We will ultimately retro fit it with a Chevy V8
Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of sl's in this year range...what tends to fail, what are usual problems in the specific year and which years lend themselves the best to putting in the V8 conversion kit.
Alsoany recommendations on where the bestconversion kits are.
I have a bid a few times on ebay so far, so it will be soon for my new purchase, but I thought I'd better check and see ifcertain years were better or worse than other years in this 13 year span.
