Hey so I own a 1997 Mercedes Benz C280 that has about 120k miles and recently this noise began happening. I know it’s very very cringe to hear this but this was the only way I could capture this noise. The noise is coming from the shifter and when accelerating for a while the noise comes and begins to get louder at high speed until it sounds like a belt snapping or even metal pieces falling. I pulled the car over and everything is fine and then it drove fine as if nothing happened but then comes back after awhile. PLEASE HELP!!
