Hi:
I have been noticing that when I corner the power steering seems very tight. Have to "work" at turning. The fluid is full and was replaced within the last 2 months. Any help out there?

How many miles on the car, and what year is it?

 

2002 with 46k

I'm only guessing here....but.....you'd think the rack and pinion would last longer than that.
The only other idea would be the power steering pump, but you say it's full and has new fluid.
I'd say one or the other is going out. Don't wanna guess. I've been wrong so many times in my
life, I don't want to scare myself by being right once.

 

I have to agree, it could be either at this point. I would have a mechanic check it out.
