E200 rear wheel bearing replacement-Difficult?
Is it difficult to replace the rear wheel bearing?
What are the steps?
any advice?
I've bought a hub puller and bearing puller.. So ready to go?
oh, its a 1998 (S reg)..
Thanks,
Steven

it is very simple to do with both of those tools. just use common since when doing it. also when your pressing the hub back in be sure that you have a backing plate on the back of the bearing when your installing the hub. or you will push the rear race right out of the bearing when you install the hub
WELL JOB DONE.I won't say it was easy. Complicated by the fact tha bearing had cracked and fallen apart in there.
But all done and on the road for £80. £13 of it was for a part I didn't need.
but done is done.

I don't know what you mean, so I can only guess the answer is no. It was one big solid bearing. which we tapped into a housing in the car. We heated up the housing to expand it (the axle sticks out through this), tapped the bearing in. then put the hub back into that. Sorry to be so vague, but I don't know the names of the parts. Hope that helps.
