E200-Is it difficult to Replace Air Conditioner
Well I have a dead compresor (I think it's called). If I make the huge investment and buy a new one (or rebuilt, or from a yard)
is it hard to remove and re-install?
I bought the pocket mechanics guide but it has nothing for the air con in it.
Any diagrams out there for the e200 and air con? will i loose all the refrigant? or is there a valve somewhere? all these questions..
Thanks,
Steven

From your above statements it seems to me this way over your head. You need to recover the refrigerant before you open any a/c lines. You don't want to be ruining the environment now do you. Secondly used ac compressors are scary. But a new one. And finally take it somewhere to get it done.
Well thanks for the confidence.
Where is your sense of adventure?
The car isn't worth putting the cost of a new compresor into it. Let alone paying someone to do it.
I managed to do the rear wheel bearing. And yes I am braging about it.
I still could use a diagram or instructions from some Merc manual.
Any help out there?
