Hi everbody
I found that the a/c of my C240 started blowing hot air after about 10 min traffic jam in the city traffic. As soon as the traffic moved, it resumed blowing freezing cool air. Anyone had simialr experience before?

The compressor for your AC needs to be serviced or replaced. It sounds like the diafram is worn out.

 

If your compressor is working well, when it works, but shuts off from time to time, it's most likely the evaporative temperature sensor starting to go bad. ( Much less expensive fix.) This is a fairly common problem on W202's : I don't know about W203's like you C240.

My wifes 02 C240 was doing the exact same thing this week. Turned out it needed freon. It was like 15 bucks.

 

My advice is don't assume the worst, ie, compressor, condenser, evaporator, untill you've checked the less expensive items.
