How do i install a new latch on the glove box door. The metal loop on the inside is ok but the latch wont grab it>

 

have you tried moving the loop out? if that doesn't work, take a thin screwdriver and use the shaft to check the latch. if the latch works, the loop needs to be adjusted either in or out. there are two screws, loosen them and there will be a little play forward and back. if the latch is broken, there are four screws on the inside of the door in the corners and two on the sides. remove these and gently pry off the back to expose the latch mechanism.
