CLK 230 Year 1999

Can any body advise why i can not remove my front brake discs

I have removed the front wheel, brake calliper and allen bolt from my disc but the disc will still not come off, it looks and feels seized, is this common? I have tried a lot of persuasion (hammer) but it still will not move. Any suggestions?

 

a good hard and snappy blow of heavy hammer or small mallet will do.

hammer on the flat face between the bolt holes only and avoid hitting the middle part.

alternately do it on another side (only on the front...never at the disc face or from behind).
