you don't need to junk it with such a minor problem.
i don't have the date for measurement of steering knuckle now. visually, you can compare it's position with the other side by looking at the distance from the tire.

Geez, man. You need to find out what's all wrong/broken before you go into panic mode and prepare to replace your entire suspension.
mbz recently posted about a good-sized M-B salvage yard in Maryland. What's that, about a four-hour drive (each way) for you? If you need a lot of hard parts, you may want to consider buying what you can from them. It may save you a sunstantial amount. You could get down there, load up your vehicle with parts and be back in time for dinner.
