Please help!!!!
I went to Jiffy Lube last week to have the oil changed and they won't service my car (2000 ML430) because of a coffee-colored milky substance underneath the cap. The guy tells me he believes there's something getting into the oil, whether it's water or anti-freeze. Meanwhile, the engine was completely dry. Also, the oil is its normal color and there are no leaks. I called Mercedes of Freehold today and a service advisor tells me he thinks it could be a blown head gasket. I would appreciate any opinions/advice on this!!

they dont want to be liable for your car. or blamed for causing a problem. i highly doubt you have a problem because i see this alot in the winter months quite often. as long as its only on the cap you should be ok. supposedly its moisture that causes that. keep an eye on your coolant level first before taking action.
PS you should really try to avoid jiffy lube. ive personally had an issue with them about 15 years ago while still attending tech school. took my car there for an oil change and they told me i had a tranmission leak. being that i do work on my car and know my vehicle I know this was BS. so later that day I see trans fluid leaking under my car. they actually loosened my trans pan!! i went right back there and told all the customers what happened. they all left LOL. manager gave my money back.
also some of those guys really have no idea what they are doing. We have alot of customers at my dealership that do go to jiffy lube and I tell you.....youd be shocked! loose oil drain plugs. filter not replaced or loose on the car.
try to find a reliable independent....ofcourse there can be morons working there too.
