I own a 2000 C280 AMG and I have many issues with so I was wondering if someone could help me? 1.) Sqeaking breaks. 2.) The AC/Heating system makes a thumping sound and when I turn it on and off 3.) Whn drivig down the highway at higher speeds 55+mph there is a rattling sound comming from the passanger side area. 4.) The sterring wheel makes a sound when it is turned right or left. Any help would be nice thank you.

Ok first it is not an AMG, its probibly the Sport. The only W202 AMG in America are the C36 and C43. I to have a 2000 C280 with that same darn problem of the ac and heat thumping when on, turing it on and off. I still can not figure it out. Also the squeaking breaks I did have but then it got warm and it went away for some reason.

 

The steering wheel just might need a lub job? Im not sure but I know what you are talking about
