Default ac conversion

Is there a better freon than 134a? My 85 300D Turbo was converted before I got it, all componants works but ac just not cold enough. System is full with no leaks.

It is not so much as a question if there is anything better, it is a quesiton of what he law allows. Do you have climate control, in cooler weather, warm enough to kick on the AC, but not really hot, the climate control has a mind of its own and you won't get cold, cold air on a 70 degree day, verses a 90 degree day.

I have noticed that both in my 99 C280 and my 79 450SLC, which was one of the first climate control systems Mercedes built. They should have waited a while longer and perfected a better system in the 450SLC by the way. In 81 they did, but to retrofit is big $$$

I live in New Orleans so it hot and humid most of the time. I read about HC12a and wondered if that is better than 134a.
