I am looking to buy a pair of the European spec lights for my 1990 300E. Since my vehicle has the wipers, and has the North American spec assemblies, will there be any need for modification of the wiper arms for the Bosche replacements?
What other challenges can I expect?

 

Yes, you will need to replace the wiper system as the old ones will not work with the euros.

I tried to use the old wipers but quikely disscovered the wiper motor body will not line up with bolt holes and the wiper shaft is way too long!

I think you could expect to pay quite a bit for new wipers I'm told, several hundred!

I just filled the holes in the metal cover panel below the headlights and said to myself, I can live without them, heck I never used them even once!
