Default 2003 E320 Hesitates during acceleration

i have this problem since purchased new. it occurs at nearly all speeds with a lag time close to one second. the dealer was not able to fix it and claimed that it is within normal operation. please advise if anyone know whether it can be corrected.

Thanks.

is it an automatic transmission? are any fluids leaking? perhaps there is something wrong with your torqe converter. it's probably just how the car behaves, but if it were me I would at least try and change the trani fluid just to make sure. i know that on the older mercedes a TSB was put out to use reformulated MB ATF fluid to solve transmission related problems with the original fluid, but that might not be your case.

thanks for the info. it is an automatic and no leaking fluids. i'll mention the possibilities to the dealer and see if it can be improved.

many thanks.
