Default 2000 ml320 with brake/abs issues

At times when coming to a stop I will feel ABS system activate at the pedals, road surface is dry. No light on dash whenever it happens.

Also while driving on the highway I have seen the traction control light flash for two seconds on two occasions only and then go away, road surface was dry.
Took vehicle to local shop and performed test drive with mechanic and he also verified problem, vehicle was scanned and they found too many codes in system, codes were cleared and was told to bring it back if it happens again. It happend again ten feet from shop..

any suggestions pls..

the first thing is to check tire sizes they should be the same on all 4 wheels on your ML

Do you brake lights work every time? You may have a brake switch going bad. It happens on W210 cars, so maybe on your ML as well? When the brake switch starts going, abs/esp/bas sometimes come on. Sometimes, you may even have to shut it off and restart for the lights to turn off.

I recently replaced brake light switch..shifter was stuck in park..
brake lights work anytime I chk..

The main thing that bothers me is that i hear/feel the ABS working at times on dry clean road when coming to a stop..
could it be a esp module, abs pump or hopefully speed sensors and harness..

Which speed sensor, just for future knowledge? How did you determine it was bad. Thanx!
